so I thought I would post it on my blog here
as there have been some requests to put it back up :)

PSP
Jasc Animation Shop
Font of choice
I used Bank Gothic
Animation

Tube of choice
I used the art by Dark Yarrow
you will need to purchase a license to use her art

♥ Ready Let's Start ♥
(1) Open PSP
(2) Open my Template Dark Angel
Shift + D to duplicate the template
Close the original
Delete the credit layer
(3) Highlight the Center Blue layer
colorize layer with color of choice
do this to the rest of the layers of choice
(4) On the bottom strip layer change color
lighter then the color you used for the blue layer
change opacity to 76
(5) Highlight the Stripes layer copy and paste tube as a new layer
position see my tag for placement
Resize tube if needed resize all layers unchecked
erase bits of tube coming out of the frames
(6) Duplicate the tube layer
on the duplicate tube layer
go to adjust - blur - Gaussian blur - change radius to 3
on this same layer change the blend mode to soft light
(7) Add a saying across the bottom strip layer
I chose Dark Angel
(8) Add your name and credits
if you don't want to animate you are done ta da !!
(9) Animation
Open Animation Shop
Back to PSP edit copy merged
paste as a new Animation in AS
(10) Open Animation of choice in AS
edit select all edit resize animation
I resized mine by 70%
(11) Duplicate your frames of your tag to as many frames of the Animation
(12) On your tag frames edit select all
do the same on the Animation frame
(13) On the Animated frame drag from frame one to frame one of your tag
place where desired and release your mouse
if not happy with the placement of the Animation you can do undo
on both animated and tag frames and redo
(14) Place as many animation on your tag as you like
when happy with everything save as gif and your done ;o)
Now if you want to make the Avatar Continue :o)
Dark Angel Avatar
(1) Open a new image
146 x 146 pixels transparent checked
flood fill color of choice I used #1c2840
(2) Copy and paste from my template
the Blue stripes as a new layer
go to adjust - color balance manual color correction
using the settings in the screen shot
(3) Now copy and paste your tube as a new layer
and position see mine for placement
resize as needed duplicate your tube
adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - Radius 3
change the blend mode to soft light
(4) Copy the bottom blue strip from my template
copy and paste as a new layer and position
see my tag for placement
type on the strip wording of choice
I used Dark Angel
add your name and credits
(5) Go to Image - Add Borders
color black Symmetric checked
size in pixels 2 ok
If you don't want to animate the avatar you are done!!
(6) If you want to add animation like you did your tag
follow the same steps and resize animation as needed
when happy with it save as gif and you are done
