keeping in mind the color replacer tool may look different in another version
Open your image you are wanting to replace the color
Activate the layer - Click on the Background fill properties - and with the color picker
pick the color from your image or Wordart
Now click on the Foreground stroke properties - Color of choice
Now activate the color replacer tool - see my preview below
Using the color replacer settings as shown in the preview below
Now draw over the image or text and it will become the color
you set for the foreground :o)
You can do this with doodles , etc
just make sure to set the Background fill properties to
the color that the image is, then color of choice for the foreground.

and was done in psp 9 Any other versions should work
This tutorial was written for those
that have working knowledge of psp
Tools and Supplies Needed
PSP
Animation Shop
VM Natural Sparkle Plugin
HERE
Font of choice
** Place The VM Natural plugin**
in your psp plugins folder
(1) Open a new Image 500 x 500
flood fill white
we will crop later
(2) Set your Foreground to black
background to # c00000
(3) I used a script type font
click on your text tool size 72 stroke 1.0
type your name then go to objects
align center in canvas
Layers > convert to raster layer
(4) Add a drop shadow
Vertical and Horizontal 2
Opacity 40
Blur 40
Color black ok
(5) Make sure your on your text layer
we are going to crop the name now
click on your lasso tool and select selection
(6) Look up top to the right where it says
create selection from
hover your mouse over the squares
until you see one that says layer opaque
then click on it you should now see
marching ants around your name
go to image > crop to selection
Duplicate your name two times for a total of three
close out the top two names
keeping the bottom name visible
(7) Go to effects > Plugins VM Natural > Sparkle
use the following settings
Max Size 24
Red 255
Green 255
Blue 255
Rnd Color on/off 255
Random seed 142 ok
(8) Hide this layer and open the middle name layer
go back into the Sparkle
Changing the Green to 66
Blue to 42
Random seed 0 ok
(9) Hide this layer and open the top name layer
go back into sparkle
Change the Green and Blue to 255
Random seed to 255 ok
(10) Hide this layer and open the bottom name layer
(11) Open Animation shop
(12) Back to psp make sure you highlight
the bottom name layer
edit > copy merged
back in Animation Shop
paste as a new animation
(13) Back to psp
Hide the bottom name layer
open the middle name layer
edit > copy merged
Paste after current frame in Animation shop
(14) Back to psp Hide the middle name layer
open the top name layer
edit > copy merged
Paste after current frame in Animation shop
(15) Edit > select all > Animation > Frame Properties
change to 20 View > Animation
if happy with it you can save and you are done :)
